Redeemer Lutheran Church – Nixa

H Design Group is the architect for the new additions and renovations to Redeemer Lutheran Church‘s location in Nixa, MO. The project includes a 13,000 square foot addition of a new sanctuary, gathering area, and classrooms as well as renovations to the kitchen, office space, and fellowship hall.

The project is estimated to be complete in November 2012.

Marshfield Chevrolet

H Design Group’s renovation/remodel of Marshfield Chevrolet will soon be ready for construction. The project is currently in the bidding process with a bid date scheduled for next Tuesday.

The remodel consists of a new front and side facades with new entry canopy, as well as upgrades to the showroom, front office sales area, customer lounge, restrooms and cashier and a new service garage addition.

One Mustache, One Beard, Two Great Causes

Over the past month, two of the H Design Group staff have participated in different fundraisers for two great causes.

Yesterday ended “Movember” and project manager, Bryon Oster, was finally able to shave the untrimmed mustache he had been sporting all month. Bryon and his team raised $1,105 in the month of November for testicular and prostate cancer.

On the same note, H Design project manager, Joel Thomas, is participating in the Beards for Hope Beard Growing Competition- a project to support A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation. This year’s goal is to raise $8,000 for the cause which is only $1,000 more than they raised last year. Joel and the rest of his team will be growing their beards until Wednesday December 21st.

Thanks to both guys and their teams for helping with such great causes!

Dickerson Park Zoo- New Tortoise Building

Construction photos of the new Tortoise Building at Dickerson Park Zoo.

The indoor tortoise exhibit connects to an existing outdoor area and will include two rooms for viewing. The construction crew just finished the roof and will soon be installing a skylight. The exhibit is expected to be complete in early spring 2012.

Producing More than Great Design…

Two members of the H Design office are expecting additions to their families. Rob Haik, AIA (Principal at H Design Group) and his wife, Brenda, are preparing for their second baby girl together. Their daughter Brie was born just two years ago in December 2009.

Project Manager Bryon Oster, AAIA and his wife, Kami, are expecting their first child, a boy. Both babies are due in mid-March 2012 only a few days apart.

The Preserve Apartments

Branson, Missouri’s new Preserve Apartments are over half-way complete and will soon be partially open. Architecture by H Design Group, the project includes the design of 144 multi-family units within 6 buildings along with a clubhouse and in-ground pool. The multi-family structures will be wood framed with pre-engineered floor and roof trusses on concrete slab.

The apartment clubhouse and Building B will be ready to open within a month shortly followed by Building F.

Buckingham’s Grand Opening

Buckingham’s Barbeque opened it’s doors today at the new Nixa, MO location. The new restaurant features a dining room, bar area, outdoor patio and drive thru as well as a new extended menu to complement the family-style restaurant.

City Utilities Transit Campus

H Design Group has completed the Construction Document Package for the City Utilities Bus Facility Expansion located at Boonville and Division. Drawings and Specifications are now available for bidding through the City Utilities Purchasing Department with General Contractor bids due to City Utilities on January 10, 2012. Estimated Construction cost for this 12 month phased project is $10,976,000.

Liberty Park Apartments

The Liberty Park Apartment development in St. Roberts Missouri is currently being bid out to invited General Contractors. The development consists of 180 units within six buildings, a two story clubhouse, and in-ground pool. H Design Group is the architect for this upscale multi-family development. Awarded Lamar School District Master-Plan

H Design Group Awarded Lamar School District Master-Planning Contract

Following a 3 month architectural selection process, the Lamar School Board has awarded H Design Group the contract to assist them with developing a 5 to 10 year masterplan in anticipation of an upcoming bond issue. Over the next several months, H Design Group will begin analyzing the existing campus and working closely with Superintendent Dennis Wilson, the School Board, and Key Administration to provide a comprehensive roadmap for future construction and/or renovation projects.
