Fieldhouse Sportcenter Complete

The Fieldhouse Sportscenter, located in Southwest Springfield, Missouri, is not only open but just hosted its first tournament earlier this week.

The new basketball & volleyball facility was designed by H Design Group. Clawhammer (H Design’s Branding Design branch) created all the environmental graphics such as wall art, apparel, and menus that successfully pulled the Fieldhouse image together.

Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline

Construction has begun for Branson’s newest outdoor attraction located at the Branson Landing. Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline will launch guests from the Landing across Lake Taneycomo to an observation platform and back to the Branson Landing.

For H Design Group, this is two separate projects with a job site at the Branson Landing and one on the upper bank across Lake Taneycomo in Taney County.  The design includes new steel deck systems, railings, queuing lines, and a themed Point-of-Sale Building.

Anticipated opening date for the new attraction is July 1, 2013.

Dallas County Family Medical Center

H Design Group has designed the new additions and renovations to Dallas County Family Medical Center in Buffalo, Missouri. The facility, owned by Citizens Memorial Healthcare Foundation, is approximately 5,900 s.f. and will receive varying levels of renovation and remodeling.

To better serve the Buffalo community, the project consists of a 3,300 s.f. building addition to the north side of the medical facility. This upgrade will include an expansion to the doctor and mental health services as well as a new waiting area, reception area, restrooms, exam rooms, and support spaces.

The project is currently under-construction and will be complete Mid-October 2013.

New Team Members

The H Design family continues to grow with the addition of two inspiring new team members.

Jasmine Hedrick joined us last month as a Drafting Technician. She has over 13 years of experience in drafting and design. Jasmine’s expertise in AutoCad is just what the office needed to keep up with the increasing number of new projects.

Patrick McWhirt has also joined the H full-time as Creative Director. Patrick has long worked with H Design as a consultant, bringing experience in marketing, advertising, and promotion. Patrick has worked most recently as Creative Director for Deep, where for over 14 years he worked with brands such as Starbucks, Nestle, Akzo Nobel, and Borden.

Fieldhouse Construction Update

There’s a lot of excitement on site at the Fieldhouse Sportscenter with only 82 days left until the facility is set to open.

The structure is now completely enclosed with windows installed and drywall up. Next the finishes will be put into place beginning with the basketball goals and wood flooring for the courts.

New Cambria Suites Projects

H Design Group has been awarded architect for two new out-of-state Cambria Suites hotels with O’Reilly Hospitality Management.

The first Cambria Suites location in Plano, Texas is set to start construction this March. The new 4-story 82,292 sq. ft. building will include 129 guest suites and 2,712 sq. ft. of meeting space.

In June 2013, construction will begin in Phoenix, Arizona on a new 4-story 75,720 sq. ft. Cambria Suites.  This Desert Ridge location will have 121 guest suites and provide 1,176 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Each location will also include an outdoor pool, indoor fitness center, commercial laundry, and Barista Bar/Lounge with prep kitchen.

The suites will be designed with green building concepts to receive a minimum of Basic LEED Certification.

Joplin Multi-Specialty Dental Complex

H Design Group is the architect for the new Joplin Multi-Specialty Dental Complex in Joplin, MO. The project is a new 15,767 sq. ft. dental facility to accommodate four separate dental offices.

The building is two stories and wood framed with brick, veneer stone, and e.i.f.s. exterior finish.  Large exterior aluminum storefront windows provide natural light into all interior spaces.  Interior finishes include veneer stone, solid surface counters, and custom millwork.  The project is estimated at $2.4 million and has an anticipated completion date of July 1, 2013.

Lowe Chevrolet Completed

H Design was the architect for the recently completed Lowe Chevrolet renovation in Waynesville, MO.

The project’s interior and exterior renovations were finished this past December in time for the 2013 new year.  The improvements included a new front entry, showroom, customer lounge, administrative and sales offices.

Monroe Project Achieved LEED Certification

H Design Group is proud to announce that The Monroe, University Housing at Missouri State, has achieved LEED Certification.

The Monroe features such LEED concepts as highly efficient HVAC, lighting, window systems, and sustainable construction materials.  This living/learning facility was built for the United Ministries Group in conjunction with Missouri State University.  Its location within the Missouri State campus allows for a greater/easier/greener connectivity for the facility users to access surrounding public transportation opportunities as well as many public services.

The Monroe was completed August of 2011 and achieved LEED Certification in December 2012.
